The philosophy area of the right and the antigone group to which she belonged are very affected by this terrible loss.
Lorena Pérez was an associate professor of the philosophy area of right for several years in the faculty of law of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where she had also studied law.
It was one of the first students of our postgraduate degree in «Gender and equality» and coordinate it in a fantastic way for a long years. All the teachers and students who have passed through graduate remember the patience and love with what Lorena did his job. For Lorena, feminism began with the quiet words that always had for everyone and the intelligence with which it plantejava any intellectual challenge.
In recent years she was lucky enough to have worked at the Catalan Institute of Women (DCI) as an expert jurist on gender issues, where they have developed a great task in favour of women’s rights, against sexism and the Patriarchate.
Our dear Lorena leaves us, but inside antigone we will always have it very close, she is in our heart, in what we are! Thank you for your life shared a little with us.
The wake will be from today Wednesday 19th September at 18 pm (mortuary anoia, road vilanova, 44, 08700 Igualada).
The funeral will be Thursday 20th September at 11.30 pm at the church of Santa Maria (C / Santa Maria 9, 08700 Igualada).
